Here’s how it works:

Raffle tickets are purchased online only and are $5 each. Sales of Raffle tickets for each week will close at noon on Tuesday. (Ticket purchases after noon on Tuesday will be put into the next week's pot.) Every week, all raffle tickets from that week will be placed in a raffle drum. One ticket will be randomly pulled during the livestream.

That raffle ticket will have the purchaser’s name and the card number they have chosen (1-54). Example: If we pull “Bob Smith #36” we will cut the corresponding #36 card off of our sealed and verified board of 54 cards, to reveal the face card. IMPORTANT: More than one individual can purchase the same card number, so you are only a winner if your number AND name are on the pulled ticket. Once a ticket has been purchased, a confirmation page will detail the payment submitted and a receipt of the purchase. After each drawing, the grid below will display the cards that have already been drawn.

Here’s how the winners break down (there's a winner EVERY week!):

If a Joker or Queen (other than Queen of Hearts) is picked, the winning raffle ticket holder takes 5% of the pot.

When any other card (except the Queen of Hearts) is picked, the winning raffle ticket holder takes home $50.

Once the Queen of Hearts is picked, that winning raffle ticket holder takes 50% of the total pot and the raffle starts over again.

All winners will be contacted after the drawing.

Queen of Hearts is a win-win: play to win AND help the animals!

Rules & Regulations

The drawing takes place on Facebook and Instagram every Tuesday live at 3:35pm, beginning 9/22/20 and continuing until a Queen of Hearts winner is drawn.

Drawings take place at:

The Tuthill Family Pet Rescue & Resource Center operated by Hinsdale Humane Society (HHS), 21 Salt Creek Lane, Hinsdale, IL 60521. Drawings from our facility will be livestreamed each week for a fully virtual experience for participants.

A game board with 54 cards placed face down and sealed and numbered (standard deck + 2 Jokers) will be used. The Board was purchased from a certified gaming vendor and will be locked in a secured location within HHS when not in use during the livestream drawings.

Sales of Raffle tickets for each new week will close at noon on Tuesday. Ticket purchases after noon on Tuesday will be put into the next week's pot.

The initial pot has been funded by donors/sponsors. Tickets are $5 each. There is no limit on the number of tickets that can be purchased.

If your ticket is drawn during the livestream, the corresponding number you selected will then be cut off of the certified board by an HHS staff member.

If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, 50% of the total pot (which increases every week) goes to you (subject to taxes). The remaining 50% will go to help the animals of HHS.

If the card drawn is another Queen (other than Queen of Hearts) or a Joker, you win 5% of the total pot (subject to taxes).

If the card drawn is any other card in the deck, the winner takes home $50.

All winners will be contacted within two hours after the drawing.

Tickets only last for one week:

After the drawing of each week's winning number, all remaining tickets will be removed from the raffle drum to be destroyed. Tickets are good for 1 week only and a new ticket or tickets must be purchased at the start of each new week (after noon on Tuesday for the next week’s drawing).

For each week's winner:

Winners must pay applicable taxes on their prize. Prizes will be distributed by check and HHS will issue a W2-G as needed, which will require the winner to provide his/her social security number. If the winner is unwilling to fill out the W2-G, the prize will revert back to HHS.

Final details:

Participants must be 18 years or older to play.

For group purchasers, in the event of a disagreement amongst the group, HHS will issue the prize to the person who purchased the tickets.
