Junior Humane Society
The Junior Humane Society’s goal is to instill a sense of responsibility and citizenship in the area youth as well as educating them as to the work and goals of the Hinsdale Humane Society. Each meeting will feature a guest speaker representing different professions associated with animals. The children will also learn how we care for animals at the shelter and will be given a chance to help out in various ways.
The Junior Humane Society meets the second Monday of each month. The meetings are held, from 7pm to 8 pm, at the Hinsdale Youth Center, just south of the Humane society (red brick building). The entrance to the Youth Center is on the west side of the building. The cost is $5.00 per class.
The children should be between the ages of 10 and 13 (5th through 8th grades). High School students can also earn service hours by helping out as volunteers with the program.
Upcoming Class Information:
Mush! Huskies that Love to Run, Monday, March 9th, 7pm-8pm
