An official letter of thanks from the Hinsdale Humane Society is sent upon receipt of all monetary memorial donations. An acknowledgement letter is also sent to the family or honoree notifying them of the donation in their name.
Mary Alice Mumford Memorial Wall
This wall was established in memory of Mary Alice Mumford and her beloved dogs, Smithwick and Kilkenny Cream. Her family wanted to ensure her legacy and that all who adopt from the Hinsdale Humane Society find as much joy and love in their pets as Mary did in hers.
Commemorate the dedication your group or family has to animals by purchasing a paw print in their honor. You will receive 2 paw prints: one is displayed on the Mary Alice Mumford Memorial Wall, and the second paw print is yours to keep. Paw prints may also be personalized with a name or brief message.
Carla E. Fisher Memorial Garden
The Carla E. Fisher Memorial Garden was established in 2010 in memory of Carla, an incredible friend to HHS. She was an obedience instructor and trained volunteers. The garden was named in her memory as a space of reflection and peace, and is located in front of the Tuthill Family Pet Rescue & Resource Center. This serene location serves as a space for our pets and volunteers to unwind after a walk, get exercise, or just enjoy time outside of the kennels.
Personalized bricks filled with loving words in tribute to pets and people make the memorial garden a truly special and inspirational place. We invite you to personalize your own brick and add to the memorial garden. Two sizes are available: a 4” x 8” brick for $150 and an 8” x 8” brick for $250, which includes engraving.
