Animal Advocates Club
Animal Advocate Academy is a fun and educational program where kids can explore their love for animals while learning how to make a difference. Through clubs, classes, and hands-on activities, children discover animal care, advocacy, and the many ways people work with and help animals. The Academy gives kids the chance to grow their knowledge, build compassion, and become confident animal advocates in their own communities.

The Animal Advocate Club at the Hinsdale Humane Society is a dynamic 90-minute class held once a week for students, grades 1st through 6th.
This program offers a diverse curriculum designed to educate young animal lovers on the importance of animal advocacy, the various careers available in the field, and how they can make a positive impact on the lives of animals. Each session includes engaging activities, discussions, and hands-on experiences that empower students to become informed and compassionate advocates for animals.
Whether exploring veterinary science, animal behavior, or shelter work, students will gain a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to protect and care for animals in their community.

Academy Membership runs annually from September through May. Programs end for summer camp and resume next school year when returning members are welcome to rejoin HHS’s academy.
It is important to note:
- These are NOT drop-in classes: all attendees MUST sign up at the links provided after sign up.
- We have a new registration system which makes it easier for parents and guardians to sign up and register.
- After signing up for the Advocate Academy and paying the fee, each class will be available for sign up 2 weeks in advance, using the same sign-up system as it was for registration. (You will also receive a welcome letter.)
